"There surely can't be any greater gift than to havee caring + friendly children..." 9. iii. 91

This is the last entry in my grandfather's diary. He died of a heart attack! If only he were around to teach me how to paint. Nevertheless, I have a teacher.

Today my heart is filled with joy, joy, joy - not only is Christ risen but he gets all the glory for the underground satirical medical journal that my friends and I have been writing!!!!!

I am so happy about this!!!!

HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HALLELUJAH!!!!! Praise the Lord...!!!!!

A Tour of the Houses of Parliament with Lord I McC. The guard at the peers' entrance rushed me in. 'You'd better get ready!' I waited for a good few minutes. My bags went through an X-ray machine and I had to wear a badge with my photo on. The Houses are a history lesson. The door to the House of Commons is dented from knocking, the shoe of Winston Churchill is shining where it has been rubbed. The secret chapel of St Stephen contains a beautiful place of worship and bible study. I McC was so encouraging...he believes we should be passionate about what is clear-cut, and not passionate about a view-point what is not clear cut. Fair! I agree. Euthanasia - clear-cut. Stem cells - not clear cut. What can we say? We shouldn't take a stance on a position we aren't sure of.
With regards to a future in medicine in the developing world, prayer is the number one priority.
I'll have a better idea of my skills after my house-jobs. The more qualified I am, the better, it seems!

Also...'you are my first love.'
What is the call on my life? To God.

Yo yo yo!

Made a picture out of a book-page and an old frame: I had to pull the nails out with a pair of fold-up pliers after using a pen-knife's saw to cut around the nails to get a hold on them. I enjoyed it! Perhaps I would enjoy surgery... It's worth investigating. This will be a four year investigation. Roughly. Oh, to be a GP who sees surgery as a simple treatment operation like prescribing a pill... what a lot of silly. Anyway. I'm just in temple maintenance, me.

Training, anyway.

Up a bit late, oops. Got to be up early tomorrow. Prayer is SO important - though I struggle to do it more than I could have ever imagined in my pompous arrogance. A friend called Laura once said that she didn't know how to pray - I thought, well I do. So much to learn...

Marriage seems tricky, hard, work and frustration, as well as blessing and companionship.

Child of God

I realised that EVEN THOUGH i sense God's call on me to be a doc - the only label that really matters is that I am a child of God.
