A Tour of the Houses of Parliament with Lord I McC. The guard at the peers' entrance rushed me in. 'You'd better get ready!' I waited for a good few minutes. My bags went through an X-ray machine and I had to wear a badge with my photo on. The Houses are a history lesson. The door to the House of Commons is dented from knocking, the shoe of Winston Churchill is shining where it has been rubbed. The secret chapel of St Stephen contains a beautiful place of worship and bible study. I McC was so encouraging...he believes we should be passionate about what is clear-cut, and not passionate about a view-point what is not clear cut. Fair! I agree. Euthanasia - clear-cut. Stem cells - not clear cut. What can we say? We shouldn't take a stance on a position we aren't sure of.
With regards to a future in medicine in the developing world, prayer is the number one priority.
I'll have a better idea of my skills after my house-jobs. The more qualified I am, the better, it seems!
